 New Suzuki Alto Redefines Economy

The Suzuki Alto is the company’s response to rising petrol prices, inefficient vehicles and an overall poor economy. The Suzuki Alto, which is scheduled to premiere in Australia on August 1st, combines class, safety and an overall high quality car with prices that the average consumer can afford. The Suzuki Alto is a sporty little car on the outside and an economizer on the inside. At the Sydney motor show, Suzuki announced that the Indian built Alto will show up on the markets in the second quarter of 2009. While drivers used to prize large trucks and sport utility vehicles, it has become apparent that today’s market is governed by a different set of values. Drivers today are more interested in kilometers per liter than cargo space.

In terms of petrol consumption, the Suzuki Alto consumes a measly 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers on average. For the money conscious majority, this will be a major cash saver. After all, petrol prices have consumers afraid of any unnecessary driving. With the rise of cost at the pump, drivers are finding that they have to economize their driving, which is a major inconvenience. With the Suzuki Alto’s petrol economy, those fears are put to rest. While large trucks and sport utility vehicles stay lonely on the car lot, small, efficient vehicles like the Suzuki Alto will fly off of the proverbial shelves. One of the great things about the Suzuki Alto is that it does not require drivers to compromise on the things they still value in a new car.

To start, the Suzuki Alto has an excellent safety rating. Many consumers see a small car and imagine that they will be unsafe. In fact, many such small vehicles offer about as much protection in a collision as a tin can. Because of this, many drivers may shy away from small cars. However, the Suzuki Alto offers great protection. While many economical vehicles only offer dual front airbags, this vehicle has no less than six airbags to protect both you, as the driver, and your front and back seat passengers. It also has standard stability control to allow you, the driver, to keep this little car from slipping out of your control. With these features, you can feel confident purchasing your new Suzuki Alto and driving off the lot securely.

With such excellent petrol economy and safety, this Indian built car still manages to keep the prices low. The Suzuki Alto starts at only $13,000. For those who love small cars, this vehicle is only 3.5 meters long. This is much smaller than either the Toyota Yaris or Suzuki Swift. The Suzuki Alto enters a class of super mini cars, which many would argue is the way of the future. With petrol prices rising and limited natural resources, you have undoubtedly been looking for a way cut back your consumption. While many believe that hybrid cars are the solution to this problem, anyone with a normal average income knows that a $20-30,000 vehicle just isn’t inexpensive enough – even if it is partially offset by fewer trips to the pump. Super mini cars are the way of the future, and the future begins on August 1st!
